Venue

• Arrival by car

  Leave highway A5 at exit Karlsruhe-Mitte (direction Landau/Mannheim, B36). Follow direction Mannheim and turn to your right at third big crossover in the Siemensallee (direction Städt. Klinikum). Turn to your left in the Hertzstrasse. After about 200 m turn to your right in the site of the west university. The DFIU is located in the second building on the left side.
   
• Arrival by train
  Hourly, there are IC (Intercity train) connections to Mannheim, Köln, Freiburg and Basel. Furthermore there are ICE (InterCityExpress trains) connecting from Mannheim and Stuttgart. Information about schedules and train connections is available on the website of the Deutsche Bahn.
  
  To get from the main station to the Westcampus of the University take tram line 2 in direction of "ZKM/Siemensallee". Get off at "Hertzstraße" and walk in opposition to the direction you arrived, that is towards the intersection. Now, turn left on Hertzstraße and you will reach the Westcampus after about 200m on the right side of the street. Further information about local public transportation can be derived through the website of the Karlsruher Verkehrsverbund.
   
• Arrival by plane
  The nearest airports are Strasbourg, Frankfurt am Main, Stuttgart and Baden-Airpark. All of the airports can be reached by train ride in about one hour. Information about schedules and train connections is available on the website of the Deutsche Bahn.
